Eprom programmers are as wide in prices as one can get. You can find programmers for $35 but those require you to flip switches and move jumpers  :30-

I have and older but very nice Batupo BX-32, the new version costs about $145. When asked, I tell folks to take a good look at the GQ-4X

This does everything that my Batupo does and if you need to buy an adapter it won't cost you as much as the programmer.

For EPROMS, I recommend looking on Ebay. Most of the chips used in these older slot machines are no longer sold as new so about
the best you can do is to buy them as used. Most of the ones for sale on Ebay have been erased and have been checked to make sure
that they are blank. This does not mean that they are good but my experience has been that about 99% of the ones that I buy are good.
