Title: lots of green Post by: mike111 on February 26, 2012, 01:17:01 AM I recently brought home a cherry and when i picked it up all looked well, after getting home it seems like it has a bit too much green in it. Heres a pic... Where do i begin searching?? It has an orion tube which loks to have been recently replaced and all caps look ok visually
Thanks Title: Re: lots of green Post by: mike111 on February 26, 2012, 02:21:42 AM I adjusted the guns the best I can and the colors on the bottom of the screen are correct but fades into too much blue as you go to the top
Title: Re: lots of green Post by: cowboygames on February 26, 2012, 02:26:21 AM Did it get bounced or jarred while being transported? If so, you may have shadow mask damage or it may be a degausing issue that turning it on and off several times will take care of or if you can get your hands on a degausing coil. Just a couple of possibilities, hard to say for sure
Title: Re: lots of green Post by: channelmaniac on February 26, 2012, 02:41:55 AM Try to get a solid color screen of white and see if it's pure white... You may just need to degauss the monitor as when you move them they could've gotten magnetized a bit.

Thanks guys Title: Re: lots of green Post by: cowboygames on February 26, 2012, 11:17:27 AM Good job, nice picture! :89-

Bunch on rare earth mags in a bunch.......spinning..... if not swirling it wouldnt move the electrons just pull them Title: Re: lots of green Post by: mike111 on February 27, 2012, 12:54:08 AM Next thing I want to attack is the wiggle on the left ,....... caps ????........ Can anyone ID this chassis for me so I know what to get parts for?
Title: Re: lots of green Post by: cowboygames on February 27, 2012, 01:02:13 AM Looks like a ripple in the vertical circuit. Locate the vertical output and backtrack through the circuit to check the caps therein. Unless someone recognizes that chassis and has a more exact location of course...
