Title: Hot Top Dollar Post by: PWRSTROKE on January 25, 2009, 07:01:48 PM This is for a member here that had inquired about this topper. I could not attach a pic in the pm so posting here for veiwing. The back has some damage could be used as is or change back out and needs 1 molex connector. All guts complete on inside. I think it is a rare theme for the topper as it is the only one I have ran across out of 150-200 toppers. Thanks B.

I know railroad94 found a bad solder joint at the fuse for one of my chaser boards although it was not an oval shape.

I have a Top Dollar Topper (not Oval) you can siee it on the machine in my avatar or machine picture. The fuse blew and the LP2980-5 also blew. It is a Surface Mount 5V 50ma fixed voltage regulator labeled U2 in my schematic I had a spare 7805 added some leads to the 7805 and used C1 and C2 as solder points C1 + is 12-13V input to U2 and C2 + is 5V output from U2 Now if I could can find a few spare LED's that match my topper. It fell a few times, causing 2 of the LED's to stopw working. Check and see if thee is 5V output from U2 pin 5. If not then U2 is dead, hopefully it dd not destroy U1 as well. Q1 and Q2 should be fine. They are controlled by U1 and sink the current from the LED's.
