Title: Bally Blazing 7s $
Post by: Spinage on February 27, 2012, 08:22:00 PM
Hello,

Received my reset chips and new tested battery.  Installed them both, did a full clear, worked great.  Credits showed a 5.1 then 88 2 - turned machine a noticed the reset light blinking on the MPU.  Turn power off, turn back on same thing.  Try and do a clear or full clear nothing happens now no CH P or CL C, nothing but a blinking reset light.  Holding down the reset button, makes it go away untill you release, then your back to the reset blinkies.

I have looked to see if any of the MPU back plane pins were bent and they are not.

I would greatly appreciate any help on this.

Thanks,

Bill

You need to do a complete clear......make sure you have your clear chips in the right sockets and in the right direction. Hold down the test & pseudo buttons when you turn the machine back on.

Sounds like you have a bad transformer, Some of mine have done the same thing. I swapped them out and they work fine now. try putting the mpu board in another machine and ram clear it there, if it works then the other machine had a bad transformer or power supply.
