Title: Bally 5500 Bill Validator
Post by: jdkmunch on January 26, 2009, 12:52:11 AM
I have a strange thing going on with my Bally 5500:

I have a MPU installed with Overload chips and reels with Overload strips installed - the machine accepts bills without a problem.

I switched the tray and put in another MPU with Double Blazing 7's and reels - the machine would not accept bills - iit is green but does not suck the bill in.  I switched out the DBV-200 with a spare DBV-145  and it works perfectly.

Is there something I have to do to get the board to work with the DBV or is the 200 that I have broken?   If it is how much does a DBV-200 head go for?

Do you have the dips on DBV set right try the last switch in first set up and the first in second up all others down

I'll look for the switches..  I never even thought of checking for them since it worked on one board
