Title: Help on migrating slant top to upright PE+ or ??? Post by: josie88 on January 26, 2009, 01:46:41 AM I have the opportunity to buy an PE+ superboard slant top but the cabinet is thoroughly trashed (numerous scratches, dents, broken glass, gold plated top rusted) and it needs a new monitor. I have three strategies here - a new slant top cabinet, repair the existing cabinet, or migrate to a standup cabinet.
What is the value of the item in it's current condition? Which strategy makes sense? Thanks for any input. Title: Re: Help on migrating slant top to upright PE+ or ??? The biggest hassle is the coin handling as the slants use an elevator and a different hopper. You could probably move the bill head, and cash can but you might need to get a transport mech that fits the upright. I am thinking that the migration might end up nickle and dimeing you to death. If you check out Terrys add in the classifieds he has a ton of PE+ uprights for sale. Not sure what the price was but it appeared to be a steal. He was offering S+'s at $300 and the PEs probably are not a lot more. Title: Re: Help on migrating slant top to upright PE+ or ??? Post by: josie88 on January 26, 2009, 02:29:52 AM ok thanks. I'm going to pass. If the fellow offered me $25 to take it maybe!
