Thx, Nigel Title: Re: Validation seeds not set??? Post by: sloggernobber on March 30, 2012, 07:52:53 PM So I found out the answer. The validation seeds not set is an error message to tell you that the communication settings are not set between the slot and back office. On the backplane there are 3 connectors numbered conn 35, conn 36 and conn 37. these are for the SAS connector. Connector 35 is channel 1, conn 36 is channel 2 and conn 37 is channel 3. Ater a ram clear, you need to set up the communications setup and select whichever channel you put the connector into eg put the connector in conn 36 and set the channel to #2. To the left of the screen you will also see address. You need to select an address that matches the address on the SAS poll address section eg if SAS address indicates #1 then set the address on the slot to #1.
This will clear any seed errors. :244- I hope this helps as its a problem that is not documented very well. Regards, Nigell |
