Title: Barcrest Pinball game % Post by: cp on January 26, 2009, 04:42:43 PM Had a customer ask (re: IGT/Barcrest Pinball) what's the statistical relationship between a lower % chip ex: SS8024 and higher % SS8021 and the amount of times a player will get the "Pinball Bonus" round ? Would the machine with a 96% chip pay out more just on "regular" play ? without hitting bonus play..? or will you get more Bonus rounds with the hight % chip ? ( I know it's all cyclical....I could get 3 bonus rounds within 80 credits of play...and then never get a bonus using up 400 credits ! ) Anyway, that was the question posed that I didn't have a good answer to, except "... it's all in the randomizer..." ? :103-
Title: Re: Barcrest game % Post by: knagl on January 26, 2009, 07:16:55 PM I looked at the PAR sheets for both chips -- the odds of getting the Pinball bonus are the same for both (1 in 64). The difference between the two (and the increase in %) comes from the number of bar symbols on the virtual reels. There are more triple bars and single bars on the virtual reels. One less double bar on the first reel, but more double bars on the second and third reels too.
As such, on the higher percentage game you'll hit "any bar" combos more often, as well as single, double, and triple bar wins. You won't hit the Pinball bonus any more often, and the bonus isn't worth any more or less. Title: Re: Barcrest game % Post by: StatFreak on January 26, 2009, 08:33:03 PM Kevin, does the PAR have a breakdown of the bonus round outcomes? I'd be interested in that. :89-
