Title: Cherry Masters dumping credits Post by: Raven on March 14, 2012, 02:09:20 AM I have a weird problem with some of my 8-liner boards. They dump the credits immediately. The cabinet I'm using just has a DBA, no coin slot, so I add in a $20....it counts up....then immediately counts it all out! Some boards work flawlessly, but others do this (mostly Dyna boards). Any clues as to what's up??

If you did not change anything, then check your internal book-keeping records and see if everything's still there - if not, then I'd suspect the on-board memory battery? I'd recommend putting some 1F supercaps on those boards instead of more NiCd or NiMH rechargeable batteries. Do you know a good source?

Better yet, tell me which one to buy. Hell man, you know my limitation of knowledge on these things. I'd never even heard of a supercap before. Thanks Raymond. http://www.mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?Keyword=1f+supercap (http://www.mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?Keyword=1f+supercap) RJ Title: Re: Cherry Masters dumping credits Post by: Raven on March 22, 2012, 03:59:43 AM Well, that didn't work. Still dumping credits. And now the working boards I had (albeit with batteries that were starting to leak) now dump credits too! Is there something I'm missing about using supercaps in place of the batteries?? :279-
