new battery on the board ,can anybody recommend which to buy these are saft 3.5v 1/2aa lithium any suggestions
on what to replace with i can desolder the old ones so soldering in new ones should be no problem

the 3.5 lithium saft are still available but called 3.6.  In the US we have some battery stores call batteries plus and they are a stock item.     posted is an example on ebay.

Same size as AA. You can't beat the price.

But  Ford S+ uses a 1/2 AA  True the voltage is correct but the battery is to long.   With a little soldering skills, it can be made to fit.

Didn't realize he has an S+. He asked if the same size as a AA battery which it is.

I guess I shouldn't have assumed they were S+.

You might want a "permanent" solution so you don't have to ever solder again.  The last time my S+ had a dead battery I did this:

It's not that expensive and easier to maintain in the future.
