Title: S2000 Button Upgrade- Updated 04/14/12
Post by: cowboygames on March 19, 2012, 08:49:42 PM
I decided black button bases on the button deck didn't look as nice as chrome would with a gold button deck, so I got these done at Coat Of Chrome for around $11 each. Look pretty nice in my opinion and they match the coin head now :89- I've got an engraver working on a brass insert to replace the white plastic with black lettering. They will have cutouts for the wording and a white diffuser underneath them. I'll post when they get done

Thanks Jason, I'm thinking and hoping the brass inserts will look as good as they appear in my head. :5- It's on a machine that's gonna be in the family for awhile so it's worth a little extra investment.

Thanks Plunger and Ford :89- All in all, pretty inexpensive bling. Buttons, inserts and nameplate will come in at around $100 or less on a machine that's gonna stay with me till I will it to one of the lucky buggers that's still around here when I die :97-

I think a completely chromed out S2000 is in order.  The whole enchilada less the glass.

Go for it Rob!

Shoot Jason, I spent a small fortune making them all gold! I really like the chrome accents though. When I get this puppy finished to where I want it I'll be sure to post pics in my profile. I might bling the Monte Carlo out if this one meets expectations, it's probably gonna stay with me for awhile too :89-

Ok, got the first samples back from laser cutting and here's what they look like. I'm going to have him capitalize the "e" and "t" in BET and make the last 3 buttons for the set. These are brass inserts made from really thin sheets of brass and laser cut. Five bucks each :89-

It's a local guy here, not Phoenix, that does those and my custom bill validator cover plates. He charged a five dollar setup fee also. I'm thinking colored lights will look good. If you'd like to have some made I can put you in touch with him

Looking good

You could probably make good money selling this to casino's for their high roller areas.

That's not a bad idea :89- Except he'd have to do it, I don't need the money as bad as he probably does, he can have it. By the way, if anyone is interested, here's a link to his and his parents shop. Just tell him Rob sent you.

Obviously there's a couple corrections I need to work on with him, but he's a good guy and works with me to get what I'm looking for.
