Title: Bally 6000 series machine partial safe ram clearing question
Post by: rrebel98 on March 20, 2012, 09:48:37 PM
Hi all I am new to the slot machine world. My Bally 6000 series machine the plate on side is dated 04/03 and it has the dreaded 88 error. The MPU board is dated 1998 I was looking for advice on where to buy the ram clearing chips not really trusting ebay as a place to buy them. I do not have the physical dip switchs although the sockets are there to add them. I was going to just get the chips you insert do the reset and then remove them. Then I read that there chips you leave in but you must change dip switch settings my board again predates that but you can get plug in dip switches. Any all advice is welcome.  Thank you... Larry

One more thing if lithium battery is removed to replace with new. Can the slot machine lose settings or is the programming for machine stored in non volatile memory ??
