Title: aristocrat mark 6 button power problem
Post by: kenokarz on March 21, 2012, 11:30:41 AM
got a mark 6/ all deck  buttons are dead no power, never heard of a back plane going bad, check all the wires to the back plane , reset the plug, made sure no wires are shorted at the door area, any idea before i take the back plane board out ,checked the cpu and i/o board in another machine they are ok, no lights on buttons and no reponse to the machine when you push on them,  :103-

Sounds like you have no 24v is the note acceptor working and the key switch on the side

yes, changed power supply also, the more i get into it . it has to be the backplane, or could be button harness. i have parts coming i hope and will let you guys know what i find, but as far as i can tell harness looks good i put it in a mvp540 but pin outs are not the same , but have not had a machine that beat me yet , it just takes more time to fix, good thing this one for myself  :89- :89-

You check your driver board ? Its a small card which controls the button power and has 2 ejection levers on each side.

Im almost 100 % that's what it is, Those drive your 24V or 12V for the buttons.

Not certain where the machine is from. but hat board is only a comms board for printers or RS232. The board they are talking about is under the processor board on the left and has one pic chip and some surface mounted ics and is marked driver board.tha is if it is a NSW machine

Yea this is the comms config board but I wouldn't worry about this. If you have no 12V or 24V to your buttons its the Driver board. This would be the problem.
