Title: Are there any nickel sized tokens around??
Post by: rrebel98 on March 27, 2012, 12:46:02 AM
Does anyone know if there are any tokens available in nickel sizes? I know my machine can accept quarters or the token size equivalent but the pinwheel in my hopper is setup for nickel sized coins.   Anyone know of any places that may have them? Thanks

Real nickels are generally cheaper than tokens of the same size

Would tend to agree -- Did a quick search and found tokens averaging .06 - .08 ea. - What a ripoff ... l

That sounded like a great deal I would guess those tokens are all gone from the way your post sounded.  I'm really just looking to have some nickel tokens to use as an alternative to real coins. Does anyone have any ideas on where to buy them. I guess my alternative would be to look for a used quarter sized hopper and just buy larger sized tokens that are more available.

You don't need to replace the complete hopper, just replace the shelf wheel.
