The internet is full of sites where people put labels and information for all sorts of things. No one has a database (of sorts) of the information that is contained on the eproms that go into MK6 USA machines every day. Of course , over time these labels may come off an eprom and you may want to re-print the information and re-stick onto it. So I am hoping we could create a database of label scans/ or photos so the information will be there for all. Here is my contribution to get it going, hope you all can do the same. :89- (There are NO eprom "files" so there is no breach of © copyright, Labels are for information purposes only). In fact, MAME has been trying to document EPROM IDs, and all possible game dumps receive filenames derived from their chip labels prior to being added to MAME. However, a lot of games in MAME (mostly the older MK2.5 and MK4 games) were only submitted with generic filenames like u22.bin and without any documentation, and guesswork had to be done on a lot of games (thus, the preserved Caribbean Gold II set has wrong/generic filenames and half of the chips are completely missing!).
Looks like the above Pompeii/Choysun/System photos didn't come out though, they only show up thumbnail size even when clicked (not much larger and barely legible). Also, Is there a program that will take all the text from a photo and convert it to a file?, Yes there are alot of pics, but there is alot of info on them too. Just sharing the information on them in case someone may also have pulled the tape off a label and removed the info :8- , it may be here for them.
