Title: Info. on what strips go with which game???
Post by: FORDSBS on April 04, 2012, 12:40:44 AM
Does anyone know of a place that I can find out what reel strips go with which game on a Bally 6000 ?
I have some glass kits & strips but no way to tell what game & strips go together.  :99-
Thanks for any help.

I've seen IGT strip lists but never seen a Bally strip list.
Time for the Bally folks to put one together I suppose.
If every Bally 5500 and 6000 owner on NLG PM's me verified, known working strips with their game chips installed -
I'm sure I could scrape a working list together...

That would be GREAT.

Grrr.... :7-    I  brought this up about a month ago (see post "Bally Bible project" on March 5, 2012), sorry, I called it a bible, maybe it's more of an SMI & Reel Strip List. Even offered to coordinate it....I wanted to see the interest of other members. Wayne/a69mopar was the only one to respond, which sort of led me to believe there was little to no interest.  :103-

What would be the preferred method of compiling the data, as the IGT thread became rather lengthy.  PMs maybe? And no need to post for each PM sent, so that it does not turn into a 200 post thread, with all of the posts being identical: "PM sent", "PM sent", "PM sent".....

Well, its good to know there is some interest, and perhaps others just missed it as well! I am having the same troubles as you, mismatched glass and strips. I did jot down a few, but have them only in note form....let me put them together in something presentable. I don't have many, as we do more IGT games, but I will gladly share what I have, especially if you guys can help add to it!  :89-

I'd just use Mopar's SMI chip list in the sticky on the Bally forum threads
and attach a column for strip numbers next to it in Word format?
BTW It's only 9 post pages long.... :5-
There's already a column for "ART"...is that for the award glass??...>>>

Here's what I mean by adding strip columns and borders.

It might fill up faster than we think, with the multiple SMIs for the same game...but that just may be wishful thinking!  :96-

A note to all.  You can usually check your strip numbers without removing the strips by shining light from behind the strip.  The numbers show through.

Thanks,
Wayne

Maybe I should but in, maybe not. I will let you folks decide.

I have been working for a couple of months on an SQL database. The database is hosted at http://coinslots.com/roms.php
and a lot of this data is already there though maybe it isn't as accurate as I am hoping it would be.
I would LOVE to see new or corrected information come my way in hopes that it would be useful to other users.

Coinslots.com is owned by another NLG member, my only affiliation is in developing the database and I am no master at
doing this, just learning as I go along.

Anyone that would wish to send me updates, lists, tell me to take a hike or anything else would be appreciated. I even have
a link to NLG at the bottom of the page.

Thanks, I really hope that it helps people and I want to spread the word that this exists so everyone can be helped.

I have info for the E2000 machines as well, including reel strip numbers, all of that had to be entered by hand  :279-

The only issue is, my data would show a machine as being E2224-029 yet ones machine would say E2224-29 so maybe
it is better just to search for E2224 and get everything.
