Title: Monopoly All in the Cards
Post by: slot one on April 09, 2012, 09:38:52 PM
Can anyone help me get past this point? In the lower left of the game screen it says "waiting for progressive enabled"  This is not in the set up screen. How is this done or can I get around this? Thanks

That game is Wide Area Progressive (WAP), meaning you can't set it up for home use.

That game is Wide Area Progressive (WAP), meaning you can't set it up for home use.

Which I think means that your WMS machine is waiting for some linking data to come in from the backroom server/computer via communications cabling - check your progressive harnesses from the board under the stand?

If at home - sell your machine to the next unsuspecting buyer...  :5-

So is there no way to "fool" machine and make it think it is a progressive? Can you adapt any hardware from a progressive display from other machines to make it work  I have several games that have this same message.

What you'd need to do is find out what the machine is actually looking for
and see if that can be duplicated somehow.
Many slot homeowners have already duplicated TITO for home use -
I see no reason a WAP machine cannot also be fooled...  :79-

If so, how would a beginner do this? Thanks Dave

Here is a quote from one of our very knowledgeable members on this subject

"You cannot run WMS progressive games without validation from the server.  All WMS progressives are TCP/IP based and must connect to a gateway.  A lot of these progressive are WAN's and thus need to connect to WMS's servers.  I don't believe you will be able to run your software stand-alone unless you can get a WAN "emulator" to validate the progressive game.  Even local progressive needs an progressive infrastructure, (which can be purchased from WMS for casino use)."

and a WAN emulator will run you a couple grand, if your Lucky.

So here is what the machine looks like with the progressive in the topper.  Looks like a WOF type progressive display.

Do they make standalone progressive games for the BBII's
or are all of these WMS games on WAN?
I get the feeling pretty soon we'll be seeing a lot of WMS kits flooding the market
and it would be helpful to be able to determine what to avoid.
Nothing sucks more than paying the big bucks for something you cannot enjoy.
