Title: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on January 30, 2009, 07:45:55 PM I have an older igt I game, wheel of fortune. I upgraded the bill validator and now have the error code crc mismatch, but unlike the I plus it does not have a button to clear this in the menu. how do i clear it?
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: Bettor Slots on January 30, 2009, 08:19:52 PM I had the same sort of thing happen to me on my S2000. On my Igame I had to go into set up and "clear the CRC error"....but on the S2000 all I had to do was open the door and close it...and it reset right away. So maybe give that a try...open and close the main door.
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on January 30, 2009, 08:31:14 PM I tried that and still have the error code. The newer ones like tobasco have the clear in the menu, this doesn't. this is older.
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: Bettor Slots on January 30, 2009, 08:33:47 PM Hmmm....try kicking it once...if that doen't work...wait for one of the pro's on here to chime in...I am sure this is an easy problem...
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on January 30, 2009, 08:42:19 PM amen brother, kick it, pull my hair out, etc.
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: Forrhouse on January 31, 2009, 03:16:18 AM Try holding the reset switch on the game board down for 3 seconds. Then when told turn the reset key on the side of the machine and close the door.
You may have to do this 3 or four times till the error is cleared. Thanks, Eric Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on February 01, 2009, 12:04:53 AM where is the reset switch? are you talking about the menu switch?
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: Forrhouse on February 01, 2009, 02:50:48 AM Look on the cpu board on the left hand side of the tray. It is a white switch that protrudes to the outside which is where you push it in from. You'll see some red and amber colored lights next to it. This cpu board is under the monitor shelf and under the I/O tray that has the harnesses which are coming from the door plugged into it.
Thanks, Eric Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on February 01, 2009, 04:07:01 AM yes, that is the operator menu switch. I did hold that in and never got the notice to turn the key. not sure what else to try?
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: Forrhouse on February 01, 2009, 04:22:35 AM Could be a corrupt validator eprom. If you have one from another machine of the new version. Try it. It is at least worth ruling out.
Eric Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on February 01, 2009, 08:31:00 PM Okie dokie, I tried a differant bill validator that I know was working and updated and no workie. aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrggggggggggg. :37- :37-
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: StatFreak on February 01, 2009, 08:47:40 PM Any possibility that the wiring harness between the validator and the machine is bad or an incorrect version?
Just a thought. :103- Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: blueridgeslots on February 01, 2009, 09:21:25 PM Isn't the clear crc mismatch icon in the perifl devices icon in menu, did you look in privileged options page?
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on February 02, 2009, 02:40:04 PM The machine worked before the upgrade. I changed the harness with the new bill validator. don't know what the harness should look like, i have no diagrams. How do you get into the privileged options page???
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: blueridgeslots on February 02, 2009, 02:42:03 PM With the Key Switch on front of the board, your game is all Eprom correct
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on February 02, 2009, 02:46:26 PM yes, I believe it is. You just turn the key switch? or is there some other things to do? :99- :103- :30- :131-
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: blueridgeslots on February 02, 2009, 03:03:31 PM Turn the switch, then press the test button, a icon on the bottom should be priv options, but I think there should be a icon for the bv in setup or diagnostics, been too long since I seen the game
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on February 02, 2009, 03:38:27 PM well I turned the key switch and pressed the button and just got the regular menu. I don't need a setup chip do I? :103-
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: knagl on February 03, 2009, 09:24:44 PM Just a shot in the dark, but there aren't credits on the machine right now, are there? Make sure the credits are zero (cash out or play them out) to eliminate any possible issues.
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on February 04, 2009, 10:31:08 PM no, there are not any credits on the machine. I got the bill acceptor to cycle and take money in test mode. also it works in an other machine. The problem I think is either in the harness configuration or I need a key chip #14 for this game. At least I think that is the number for it. In order to get into the key chip menu. I think this is an older version that might have the menu I need in that mode. I don't know for sure though. :88-
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on February 04, 2009, 10:34:28 PM Is there any way to see what version chip I would need in the menu or on the board?
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: blueridgeslots on February 05, 2009, 03:07:07 AM list the icons when you press the self test from top to bottom
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on February 05, 2009, 02:24:22 PM 1.) accounting 2.) diagnostics 3.) play history 4.) event logs 5.) modify meters 6.) hopper fill 7.) setup 8.) game tests 9.) help 10.) return to game
note: when you go into setup and to machine options there is no bill validator options icon. Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: blueridgeslots on February 05, 2009, 02:28:31 PM What about Diagnostics, and is the error still CRC Mismatch?
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on February 05, 2009, 02:33:31 PM same with diagnostics, and yes the error is still crc mismatch
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: blueridgeslots on February 05, 2009, 02:36:33 PM I will have to put an old set of software in, and you did use ID 024 on the New BV Software correct?
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on February 05, 2009, 02:55:40 PM yes,
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on February 05, 2009, 04:17:26 PM can you upgrade the software on the board????
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on February 05, 2009, 08:38:12 PM can the Key chip #17 be used in place of the #14 or will it hurt the machine or board???
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: blueridgeslots on February 05, 2009, 09:21:39 PM That Key won't clear anything, but if you need a KEY we have them
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: superdkb on February 05, 2009, 09:31:32 PM you have the correct key chip for this game? do you know if # 14 is correct? according to the information that i printed off of IGT web site, it said that the key chip menu gave you more options. I was hoping that the menu icon i need might be in that menu. or if anyone has the pin out on where the harness meets the bv that would help also. :99-
Title: Re: Igt I game Wheel of Fortune Post by: whitehooptie on June 04, 2009, 03:20:45 AM Have you gone to the "Calculate CRC" option in the menu?
