I have a triple r,w,b 25cent igt s plus that I changed the battery in. I went thru all the steps to get the bill validator working with a set 015 chip, but my bills cash out right away. when I get to setting 2-1 then go thru all the steps to # 8 , it says 8-2 but I can't change it because the spin reels key doesn't light up to allow me to change the setting to 8-0. do I have the wrong set chip or what can I do. also, what excact manual do I need that will tell me what all these settings in order should be, should I want to change them for me?

help.....currency to credits and not currency to coin out??????? also what manual I need to tell me these settings for personalization?????

If this is a S+ then there is a setting
in the key chip menus to allow you to
change the credit settings.
It will unlock the ability make the 8-2 , 8-0
change.

ok, so how do I get to the key chip menu?

If you look at the PSR sheet for your
game chip it will have the settings that
are available to change.  What game chip
and set chip are you using ?

dbv to cash out and not credit. sp1148 ss7550, does that help? light won't come on to change 8-2 to 8-1. ??????frustrated!!!!!

bought a set 015 chip off of ebay. is this the wrong chip for this machine? also where can I find a manual for the settings for this machine??

Welcome to the site.

Please do not create multiple threads over multiple sections of the site for the same issue with the same machine.  One post in the correct section for your machine (Reel Slots: IGT S+ Reel Games) will work wonders for getting the information you need to get your machine working the way you like.  I have merged all of your threads into one thread here in the S+ section.

Here is the setting for the set 86 chip. I don't have the PSR for the 1148 or the sheet for the set 15.
Maybe some one here has the sheets you need and can tell you if you have the right set chip or which one you need.

Bill Pay Mode <0> [8]   
Determines how inserted bills are paid.  Options are bill pay mode is fixed to changer only and cannot be changed in self test {0},
or bill pay mode is self-test selectable {1}.

You need any one of these SET chips...>>>
SET088
SET089
SET090
SET091

The SET015 or SET086 will not work I'm afraid.
Once you get the right SET chip, you can enable Bill Acceptor Pay mode to [8-1] so that it converts all bill to credits.
By the way, you have a "Triple Red, White, and Blue" 3 coin game?  :129-
