Title: Help in Using Calibration Paper on a WBA 12
Post by: Amachanic on May 06, 2012, 03:32:14 PM
I just got back a WBA12 bill validator from having the softward up dated.. I bought a sheet of calibration paper to do to calibration on the bill head since I didn't send it in with the unit  :25- :25-.. I borrowed a sheet a while back and did my other machines, but I can't find my notes on setting the dip switches? I thought it was turn off switches 5,6,7,8 then run the calibration sheet, but when I do this my validator takes the sheet in, then spits it back out. Then my light on the validator flash 5 times, pause then repeat 5 flashes.. I inserted the calibration sheet white end in first with the sticker on the black end up. I thought thats how i did it before, but when it was done the bill head lights would flash fast when finished? Did I forget something or is the 5 flashes an error code?

i cant remember the dip numbers but the 4 closest to the front of the BV should be down and the other 4 should be up.  allow the BV to cycle, should be 1 longer cycle then 2 short ones and you know its in calibration mode.  insert the cal paper black end first and the BV should pull it in, cycle it in and out a few times then spit the cal paper back at you.  if you have the BV in a machine your BV bezel light should flash quickly if the calibration is successful.  or it will flash a code at you to let you know what the problem is.  g/l!!

Thanks... We got it. Jim from Blueridge sent me the information. You are correct, #5,6,7,8 dip switches are on and black ends in first with the calibration paper. Thanks for the help.
