Title: Monitor sizing issue RESOLVED!
Post by: BR549 Auto Sales on May 17, 2012, 03:45:55 AM
I have a new EYGO 19" monitor installed into a Sega Power Drift upright arcade game and am using a cga/vga converter board since the monitor had a computer type plug on the end. Everything looks good except the bottom is not complete, see pic. The monitor has an extension with several pots for brightness, contrast, etc, but I can't get the bottom portion of the screen. Are there any other adjustments that I can use to get a complete screen?

Thanks,

David

Does the game have any set up menus with size control? Or maybe vertical and horizontal size controls on the board assembly?

it does, but I am not sure how they work as far as sizing the picture.

If you find the Vert size adjust and that doesn't fix it, You may have a electrolytic Cap. in the Vert circuit  that  is leaky.

The monitor is new, never been used, so could that still be a problem? I believe that it has something to do with the set up menu from the cga/vga board but it did not come with any instruction as to how to set up the monitor view.

Can you see who made the mother board for the monitor. If you can find a make and model you should be able to find a schematic that shows the Vert and Horz. setting. much of the new stuff all the vert & horz stuff in just one chip. that could be an issue as they so small that they really hard to change. It should stll have a vert size control.

Thanks, it was an adjustment in the menu under "geometry" and it allowed me to size the picture.
