Title: What eproms do I need ? ? ?
Post by: cp on May 26, 2012, 11:51:48 PM
Double 3X 4X 5X Times Pay Diamonds  Slot Machine

2 coin play.   has enhanced 044  board w/ simm   42

What eproms should be on this board ? ?

Posting picture of  board I have.  I believe I'm missing  the  SS  eprom....(the one that came with game was for Double Diam SS6325 which is totally wrong)...

So,  Do  I just need the   SS   eprom  (which only allows me that "one"  percentage ?   OR   is there a different  Base chip for the  3X4X5X  Diamonds game that will allow a choice of game %  in the setup ? ?

Here's what I have:

Base:  SB001000
GMe:  SG000598
VS:     VS011GX1
DSP:   DSPL0006
SND:   DSV00042

Double 3x4x5x Times Pay™ Spinning Reel
5,000
SB100781

3-Reel, 1-Line, 2-Credit Multiplier
S2000 - Spinning Reel

Hold on maybe I made a mistake, there is no such thing as a 044 board in a S 2000

Buzz is correct in that there is no 044 for the S2000, but there is a similar setup for the S2000 enhanced platform that uses a daughterboard that looks like an 044 flash board for iGame and Game King Platforms. On the S2000 platform this is referred to as an "R" board, which is flash based with sockets for a BOOT chip, and also for a Base chip and SS chip if you want to use an SB001000 and SSxxxx chip. The sound is built into this flash board, and it will be labelled with a game # such as Rxxxxxxx. See my picture attached, but note it has a SB001000, but no SS chip, this is just to give an idea of what it looks like. Just like in the 044 iGame and Game King Platforms, there is a legacy adapter board for the S2000 enhanced platform that uses a daughterboard that accommodates legacy S2000 game sets and sound SIMM. That sounds like what you have, so it could use the SB chip that Buzz pointed out.

Many people in this business, wrongly refer to this as a "S2000 044 setup," :7- but that is dead wrong, and it leads people astray. :277- The 044 reference comes from the part number of the MPU board for iGame and Game King Platforms, just like previous MPU boards referred to as 3802 and 3902. Likewise the MPU board in the S2000 enhanced platform is often called the 1270 enhanced board.

Sorry.... Sorry.... Didn't want to confuse people calling an  S2000 with an  "044"  board...  but that's just the way I differentiate the 3  types of   S2000 boards.  ...and in fact,  that's the way S2000   are sometimes listed on inventories at the casinos.

Here's a actual  (partial) list of games I received from the casino....And the way the Casino listed them:

 S2000   Double Diamond   1020072   May-00   3R-1L-2C   .039
S2000   Red White Blue   1020075   May-00   3R-1L-2C   .039
S2000   10 Times Pay   1020227   May-00   3R-1L-3C   .039
S2000   Triple Diamond   1124743   Aug-01   3R-1L-2C   .039
S2000   Triple Hot Ice   1848234   Oct-07   4R-9L   .044/ EP
S2000   Triple Double 7's   1848237   Oct-07   4R-9L   .044/ EP
S2000   Double Fire Opal   1848241   Oct-07   3R-27L   .044/ FL
S2000   Double Fire Opal   1848242   Oct-07   3R-27L   .044/ FL
S2000   Double Fire Opal   1848243   Oct-07   3R-27L   .044/ FL
S2000   Double Fire Opal   1848244   Oct-07   3R-27L   .044/ FL

Oh yes... by the way  I did get the   Base eprom  ...781   for my game.

Thanks for everyones help  !

CP,

Glad that you got what you needed. Also I was not directing my comment about 044 to you, it was meant to demonstrate that many of the people "in the business" like distributors, sellers, and casino folk perpetuate the wrong reference. An example of this is that this can cause problems when people buy things over the internet and they get the wrong parts because the seller used the wrong reference. Your cut and paste from their list actually demonstates my thoughts even more when they refer to S2000 Super Stepper MPU boards as .039!!! They are actually 1050's in correct slang taken from their actual part number!! :279- :279- :279- Also the 044 reference, and what do they mean by EP and FL??? :103- (I don't know why I don't actually expect the casino to be wrong, since when we NLGers have a problem with a machine at a casino, we end up talking them through how to fix the problem!!!) :208-

Since we are all about teaching people about their machines here, I like to point out the right references since so many people use us as a technical reference later on. It was just a teaching opportunity for our members.

Again not directed at you, just a comment in the general terms. Here is a  :259- for you! :244-

Buzz,

Well, I aim to teach.... I actually know the answer! It is actually a 27 way game not 27 line. Basically it is 3 rows and 3 columns in this case, so you do 3x3x3=27 ways to win. If it is a 5 reeler, it is a 243 way to win game: 3x3x3x3x3=243. IGT calls these games MultiWay, and they are most prevalent in the video machines where thaty started, but they have migrated them to the S2000 platform.

Here is an IGT video that is very informative about the MultiWay Games.

....One problem solved with  the  ....781  Base.    I put the "correct"   Base  eprom in...Machine plays and pays correctly..

....  now,  I cannot get into,  or  it doesn't have the   Legacy / Enhanced (preferred)  sound options now.   Just the Real Basic  S2000 sounds.  Not even rollup / or tunes ! !

....and  YES  I did have the fancy smanchy sounds  with the  1000  Base eprom and  an  "incorrect"   SS eprom (6325)  in the  SS socket.

Do  the   GME   eproms play a part in  the   sound  ?    I have  598  in the GM sockets.     I found a listing showing  the   781  Base  with a  251  GMe eprom.  So.... do I need the  251 eproms now ? ?

Thanks for everyone's help.

Here is the actual S2000 game, Double Fire Opals, coutesy of Jim at Bettor Slots:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENOB4IV830s (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENOB4IV830s)

Here is a video version of Fire Opals, not Double but you get the idea... This is Video and true 044, and alot more exciting than the S2000 version in my opinion!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZR2CNez3ZlY&list=PLFEB05C3A9FD62E64&index=26&feature=plpp_video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZR2CNez3ZlY&list=PLFEB05C3A9FD62E64&index=26&feature=plpp_video)

And before you ask me why this one is 720 ways...... 3x4x5x4x3=720! :200-

IGT is just finding ways to get Penny players to just play TONS of credits!

CP,

Some S2000 games just do not have enhanced sounds in them. I am not sure about Double 3X 4X 5X Times Pay??? Maybe someone who has that theme can chime in here?

FWIW, I do know that changing a Base chip has given me better sounds in the past. The example I have is that on a 180 coin max bet 5 Reel Triple Butterfly Sevens machine I did not get multiple special reel sounds, but leaving all else the same and only changing the Base chip to 90 coin max bet 5 Reel Triple Butterfly Sevens, I now get many different tunes to play randomly during reel spin.
