Title: Question on S2000 top box printer removal
Post by: Fourbyracer on May 30, 2012, 02:06:19 PM
I searched around and didnt find this exact topic covered.  I know there is a easy trick to take the actual printer out of the mounting box but I cannot remember or find it.  I need to change a speaker out and the screw is behind the printer mounting box.

Unhook the ribbon cable ( I prefer the printer end ) pull the printer out as far as you can, in front lower printer you see a White button push the button in as you pull out on the printer.

I may be wrong, but I think you still have to remove the three screws holding the bracket that  secures the printer body to the machine top box. then you will be able to get it out of the way and change your speaker.

On a similar note for that area of the topbox of an S2000...  :5-

I have a metal louvered, air vent in the back left side
and the stock large, rounded heads of the screws that secure the vent to the topbox -
get in the way of the printer bracket.

I took my vent to a local hardware store
and found some flat headed screws to replace them.

Thanks Buzz.  I know you showed me that one time.  Ended up this printer had a black button instead of white so it blended in with the case and I couldnt find it.  Thank you too Jim, you were also right about taking the 3 nuts off the mounting brackets once I got the printer out of the way.  So  :259- for both of you!

Bunker I see the bolts you are talking about.  Mine dont interfere with the bracket though.  Thanks guys!
