Title: Re: SS3788 Mystery Chip Post by: CVslots on June 04, 2012, 12:39:31 AM Bunker and I talked about this game theme a few months ago. It's all "bally" :308- :281-.....golf balls, tennis balls, soccer balls, baseballs, etc...I was certain it was a clone. Clone of what, wasn't sure, until mvco gave the chip number! :285-
Its a Spin Til You Win clone, kinda figured with the respin!! We are not big sports fans (at least I'm not, lol!!! :96-) so never paid much attention to it honestly. But here's a pic of the award glass of the 8Ball kit we have on eBay right now. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260851748371&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT#ht_500wt_689 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260851748371&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT#ht_500wt_689) -Roslyn :88- Buzz - Where'd you see that %? I show 92%? But maybe mines incorrect?? :5- Title: Re: SS3788 Mystery Chip Post by: mvco on June 04, 2012, 10:14:19 AM Well, I hope Roslyn is right, as that first percentage is indeed great fopr the casino. Roslyn, BTW, this is the same Bill you are looking for the DD Deluxe kit, and DD reel strips for. Small world.
Thanks for the help, and I hope I have the 92% chip! 8 Ball is really a fun game. There is a game kit on Ebay right now should any want one for a 16" cabinet. The joker is wild, 8 ball causes a spin to win feature, and there is also a double jackpot multiplier, lot's goin on with this cool game. Title: Re: SS3788 Mystery Chip Post by: mvco on June 05, 2012, 10:21:59 PM I checked out the info buzz linked to. At the top, it shows the lower 77% payback, but if you look down a little, it shows an adjusted percebtage of over 92% once factoring in the spin to win feature. Or at least that's how it looks to be?
Title: Re: SS3788 Mystery Chip Post by: Buzz on June 05, 2012, 10:58:16 PM Unless I'm wrong ( heaven forbid ) the PAR I posted is for SS4448, ( look at it ) in reply #I I said there is a problem that I didn't create.
Title: Re: SS3788 Mystery Chip Post by: knagl on June 06, 2012, 01:10:49 AM To be clear, the PAR that Buzz attached in Reply #1 is labeled as being SS3788, but (through no fault of Buzz -- it was a problem with the source where he got the PAR), it is actually a PAR for SS4448 (and should not be relied on for being accurate for SS3788).
The 77% number shown at the top of that PAR is the payback for the SS4448 chip if there wasn't a Spin 'Til You Win feature. The 92% number is the actual payback of the SS4448 chip once you factor in the payback on the Spin 'Til You Win spins. Bill: I agree with Buzz that your chip is indeed 77.49%, based on a source I have as well. That same source shows the SS4448 as 92.38%, which matches the SS4448 PAR posted above, so I would tend to believe it's accurate for the SS3788. In short, you have a crummy chip (great for the casino, not great for home use). If you want to change chips to a higher percentage version, there are a number of chips available. See the following link, and look at any of the SS chip numbers available: http://newlifegames.net/igtbible/IGT%202CM/Game%20Library%20-%20S-Plus%20-%20Spin%20'Til%20You%20Win%20(2%20Coin%20Multiplier.htm (http://newlifegames.net/igtbible/IGT%202CM/Game%20Library%20-%20S-Plus%20-%20Spin%20'Til%20You%20Win%20(2%20Coin%20Multiplier.htm) Title: Re: SS3788 Mystery Chip Post by: CVslots on June 06, 2012, 03:06:49 PM I was quoting from the IGTGameBible when saying it was a 92% (ok, 92.378% to be exact). 77% does sound crummy, but with a spin til you win feature like 8 Ball has, it ends up at 92%, then it's not so bad. Just tells me either the "re-spin/spin til you win"stop doesn't come up often, or it may come up pretty often with smaller wins. And, yes, there are higher payback chips that he can get.
Here's the listing info for the chip from the game bible... 3788 5 145A 92.378 (92.378) SPIN 'TIL YOU WIN 2 COIN MULTIPLIER I'm just happy to know now what 8 Ball is a clone of, since I was too lazy to pull out the glasses start doing the research! :72- Thanks Knagl and Buzz for clearing this up. -Roslyn :88- Title: Re: SS3788 Mystery Chip Post by: mvco on June 06, 2012, 10:37:42 PM So I guess I am at 92% then. Makes sense, as the game has been very generous, up to over 500 credits the three days ago, still at 200, cannot seem to lose right now, haha. For what it's worth, I did already order a higher percentage chip this morning to throw in it down the road.
Once again, this is a really fun game, did not expect that. Highly recommend this game to anyone that wants to do a game change. It's a Spin Till You Win, but with much more colorful glass and reel strips in my opinion. Really cool also having the double jackpot symbol, and joker. It seems to land on the 8 ball about every 25 spins or so, where the spin to win feature kicks in. Thanks to all with help figuring this out. :-) Bill Title: Re: SS3788 Mystery Chip Post by: knagl on June 07, 2012, 01:33:23 AM I was quoting from the IGTGameBible when saying it was a 92% (ok, 92.378% to be exact). ... Here's the listing info for the chip from the game bible... 3788 5 145A 92.378 (92.378) SPIN 'TIL YOU WIN 2 COIN MULTIPLIER I'm sorry, where in the game bible are you seeing that? 92.378% is the (adjusted) payback for SS4448. Here's the bible link for Spin 'Til You Win: http://newlifegames.net/igtbible/IGT%202CM/Game%20Library%20-%20S-Plus%20-%20Spin%20'Til%20You%20Win%20(2%20Coin%20Multiplier.htm (http://newlifegames.net/igtbible/IGT%202CM/Game%20Library%20-%20S-Plus%20-%20Spin%20'Til%20You%20Win%20(2%20Coin%20Multiplier.htm) I am pretty confident that SS3788 has an (adjusted) payback of 77.49%, not 92.378%. So I guess I am at 92% then. I disagree, as posted above. :71- Title: Re: SS3788 Mystery Chip Post by: CVslots on June 07, 2012, 02:16:16 AM Well sorry for all the confusion I guess! Since i use a spreadsheet version, maybe it's different than the "Bible" on the home page, didn't know there was a difference :103- I show the following eproms available for Spin Til You Win, and I noticed the "Bible" on the home page doesn't include the SS3788.

I'll have to spend some more time on this to look into the SS3788 chip to look at all of the virtual reel stops and manually figure out the actual percentage. It'll take a couple of days, so for now my "official" stance is that I'm not sure what percentage that chip is. :25-
