Open the door. You should get jackpot key resetable alarms. If not, dou le check that your chips are in properly and your MPU is seated snuggly

i did that several times but that didn't solve it. I was converting a progressive to a non progressive game. thanks

Did you clear the machine? Those progressive settings from the origional game may be holding you out. Also, which chips did you change? SB and SG or just the SB?

just changed the SB chip but didn't clear the machine. Would it work with the 17 key chip to change the progressive settings? I previously had a mikohn cham 2 installed but i took it out

Changing from a progressive 5 reel Double Dollars Free Spin Bonus (SB101576)  into a non progressive 5r Triple Stars (SB100496) I already have some SG000597 placed on the MPU. As mentioned in  http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=18894.0 i'll see if i can try to key set with a 17 chip. Do you think that would solve the problem to get my game up and running?

I use SG363 with my triple star, don't know if it's compatible with the 597 chips

The game is compatible with SG597.  I don't think a Key 17 will work with SG597, a Key 31 or 45 should do it.

SG597 requires the 45 keychip according to the PSR. you will definitely need to disable the progressive in keychip settings to get your game running as non-progressive. your assert fail error i haven't seen before but you homeowners do a bunch of stuff we either can't or wouldn't do to games on our casino floor so these odd errors (to me anyways) seem to pop up more often. :79- :89-

just a side note for what it's worth: the SG598 seems to be the new SG363, compatible with pretty much any SB; the 597 & 598 added the multidenom extentions for SAS 5.02 and above.  the SG597 is also very universal; not sure what the big difference between the 597 & 598 is. :103-

edit: you might want to consider getting an IVC224 clear chip too; comes in handy if you need to change your accounting denom ever!

I got the key chip 45 and disabled Game 1 progressive and thats it. I had the original SB installed and it played as normal without the progressive. Then I had no credits in the machine, I swapped the SB with the Triple Stars SB chip and still shows "System error" followed by "ASSERT FAIL cfg_bns.c@500 -0x61" on the Display. Am I missing a step or what am I doing wrong? I just want to do this without a clear chip because I don't have any clear chips. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
