Title: Cant see the cards Post by: 56freebie on June 23, 2012, 02:48:14 AM I just picked up 3 1994 bally game maker machines. All 3 work but have the same problem with the cards on black jack and poker games extending horizontally off the screen. I tried to adjust but the controls on the monitor but no go Any suggestions ?
Title: Re: Cant see the cards Post by: kforeman on June 25, 2012, 12:11:53 PM do you solder? many, many monitor problems can be fixed by changing every electrolytic cap you can find a replacement for, aka "shotgunning" the caps. i don't have much electronic training but i've "fixed" over a hundred monitors over the past 10 years just by changing caps. i don't need to know which cap was bad, i'm just wanting to get the damn thing running again! :89- this is especially effective if the monitor has been powered down for an extended period of time. i'll see if i can find any of my old notes on the gamemaker monitors, can you post up the make/model of the monitor itself? might make it easier for us to track down your issue :71-

I have another moniter that was blowing the fuse even after I recapped it. What do I look for or start?
