Title: Ballys poker machine. Looking for help. Post by: Wynter on June 24, 2012, 11:13:23 PM Good evening everyone,
I’m new to this so please bear with me. This is the story I got with this machine. It may be fiction, fact or some combination of both. This machine has been sitting outside under an awning and covered with a piece of carpet. The last owner never used it but thought it worked. They were told it didn’t take nickels anymore and it didn’t payout. The particle board case has been wet around the bottom and it’s doing what wet particle board does. It did come with a bunch of keys. What I’ve found. I plug it in and it lights up and the screen boots up to what I would expect. I drop a nickel in and it comes up “coin in jam” and the red call light on top flashes. When opened I can see a circuit card lying loose on the hopper. There are two buttons on the card and they reset the “coin in jam” error, but the next nickel starts the cycle again. The nickel passes all the way through to the overflow chute. The red wire is not connected to the coin comparator and there is a brownish wire near the electromagnet that controls where the nickel goes and it is not connected to anything On the right side below the monitor are two wire harness connection with nothing attached. I’d like to end up with a machine that takes and pays out nickels. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, Wynter Title: Re: Ballys poker machine. Looking for help.
