Title: Help with an error on my s2000
Post by: bhinkley on June 30, 2012, 10:44:09 PM
I need some help.  I just recently set up my s2000 with a 2x 3x RW&B, and went through all the keychip settings like normal.  It seemed to work perfectly, but when I hit cash out it came up with a coin out jam error.  I have no hopper, so it should all pay by the ticket printer.  What could be wrong?

Sounds like you must have the hopper limit set for something other than zero.

I thought I set it for 0.  I will have to check

Good call.  Somehow the hopper limit was not 0.  Do I need to do a full clear or just the keychip to adjust that?

No clear, no keychip, just make sure there's no credits on the machine and change the menu setting. If you're stuck on the hopper jam and don't have ahopper you can throw in to clear it with coins then you should be able to pull the MPU, remove and reinstall the ramm chips, reinstall MPU, clear the ram errors with your jackpot reset key and be on your way

A word of CAUTION if you bend one of the legs on a ram chip, when you try to straighten it the leg will ( NOT MIGHT or maybe) it's gonna break, If you can find a new one they are about 20 bucks.

Especially if you grab it at the end of the leg...if a legs bent, grab it at the base and lift/bend the whole leg straight. Dont try and grab the tip and pull it back up...
