Title: Candle light keeps blinking Post by: MOONMAN on July 02, 2012, 12:00:32 AM Just bought a GameKing 6.2
After connecting the candle light it just keeps on blinking all the time. Any ideas how to stop it from blinking? :103- Thanks! Moonman Title: Re: Candle light keeps blinking Post by: Buzz on July 02, 2012, 12:34:32 AM Did you try pressing the service button ??

Title: Re: Candle light keeps blinking Post by: MOONMAN on July 02, 2012, 09:17:27 AM I think what KNAGL said is correct. I looked around after posting this and found an earlier thread talking about this. I think I'll just let it blink and disconnect it if I get tired of it blinking unless someone has a better solution. There is paper in the printer and when I turn the key I get the attached message.
Thanks everyone for responding. :3- Moonman Title: Re: Candle light keeps blinking Post by: rjpohl on July 02, 2012, 10:22:22 AM I think you need to "disable" the drop box. try looking at options 3.1.2.3

Title: Re: Candle light keeps blinking Post by: madwookie on July 02, 2012, 05:37:13 PM I think when you set up your printer u might have chosen the wrong validation. I always use the standard printer validation. Try clearing the machine and setting it up again.

Thanks everyone for responding. :3- Moonman :205- :212- That error/issue happens on some of the GameKing games as it is looking for a connection to the validation system. I just let it blink... seems like a casino that way with lights flashing! :97- If you disable the printer that light stops flashing, and whatever you do, DO NOT accidentally set it to anything other than standard validation, or you will regret it!!! :25- :30- :8- :37- :58- :60- :279- Trust me! Some people just remove the candle bulb as has been suggested as well. CaptainHappy :95- Moonman, I am at the NLG Command Center this week, but I did see your PM. PM your number, and maybe I can call from the road on the way back home. Title: Re: Candle light keeps blinking Post by: mb278 on July 06, 2012, 04:25:21 PM in your version of software it should have an option called candle setup(some versions do not have this option at all ) which will have the option for the candle to stop after 30 seconds OR the candle should stop after you play the first game if the door has been opened recently hope that helps
Title: Re: Candle light keeps blinking Post by: MOONMAN on July 06, 2012, 04:47:51 PM I do not have such an option with mine. I learned the hard way the other day (ended up doing a total clear) that it appears I have to live with the blinking candle light if I want the printer/ticket function to work. You have to turn on "standard validation" with this to get the ticket redemption to work. By turning on the validation, the machine looks for a host/server to validate with. Of course, there is none to validate with. Thus, the light blinks continuously. I either let it blink or disconnect it.
Anyway, that's what I've found. If anyone else has another answer please advise. Otherwise, I guess I'm done with this. Thanks! Moonman |
