Title: removing reel strips Post by: Jimise on July 07, 2012, 11:06:10 PM I would like to change out the game in my S2000 5 reeler.
My question is, What is the best way to remove the current strips? Does anyone have any tips, or tricks to remove them with out destroying them. I'm sure they are original to the machine, And the tape is holding them on pretty well. Thanks everyone! Jim. Just carefully slip your finger under the end of the strip to lift it away. you might have to hold down the end that is underneath as you separate them. a blunt flat object might be useful as well (old butter knife or the like). once the end is loose just gently pull the strip towards you the reel will rotate as the strip comes off. I have found that gently warming them up with a hair dryer will soften the tape/glue up a bit and make the removal process easier. But don't hold the dryer too close...just enough to get the strip warm.
