Take pictures of things if you need to for re-assembly reference. Remove the coin tray and hopper Place the hopper bowl against something so the coins do not cause it to tip over As you are removing parts if a harness is attached be careful and unplug them as needed. Remove the BV head/transport and Cash Can. For the DBV version loosen the 2 thumb screws and push the lever down on the left side of transport, unplug the 2 harness on the left side and the one on the right side. For the WBA pull out on the release and head and transport should come straight out (not the round bar) Remove the inner BV chassis (2 screws on left outside of the chassis in line with the BV shelf just above the cash can location and 2 at back where cash can goes. Now remove the outer chassis, it is attached to the right wall, and reel shelf The only reason I say to remove them is it makes getting access to the handle mechanism easier To remove the handle you need an hex or allen key that fits the bolt in the bottom of the handle hole on the bottom of the chrome hub cover that says IGT on it Once you have the bolt loose it might help to lightly tap the allen key with a hammer to loosen the handle for easy removal Remove the bolt completely and pull the handle out the chrome hub cover may fall off as you do Disconnect the solenoid and unplug the switch wires There are 3 carriage bolts and nuts holding the assembly to the cabinet The nuts are accessible by holes in the assembly use the bolt location on the outside to help you locate the 3 nuts that need to be removed. they are nylon lock nuts Title: Re: pull arm removal Post by: ShadyNova on July 12, 2012, 06:26:39 PM cool thanks for your help
Title: Re: pull arm removal Post by: poppo on July 12, 2012, 07:26:08 PM FWIW, there is no need to take the inside parts out or remove wiring if just replacing the formica. Just remove the handle and the 3 nuts on the inside holding the cover plate. Using a deep socket will make it a breeze. Just be sure you are removing the correct nuts as you don't want the inside assemble coming apart.
