Title: Use a computer monitor with a PE poker machine? Post by: slots8168 on February 09, 2009, 11:51:25 PM Is it possible to take a computer monitor and wire it for a IGT PE plus poker machine? If so Does anyone have the wiring diagram.

It has been done, it can be done, but we're not sure about *how* it was done, and the original poster has vanished.
A friend of mine thinks he can figure out how to do it, though, and it's going to be a project of his in the near future. If and when it's successful, it'll be documented and shared on here. I exchanged some emails with the guy that built the adapter and still have his email address. He documented the build but it was lost when the old site when down. He used a single chip, I believe he called it a hex inverter, don't have the chip number. He simply soldered the chip in line and put the whole thing inside some shrink tape. They told me they are still pricing the plastic bezel and at this time they do not have a price for the unit. It looked great. they said they did it for the south american market
Title: Re: Off the wall question PE poker machine Post by: Op-Bell on February 13, 2009, 08:08:25 PM Looking at the schematics I've got (757-03411 rev G) the video output is analog, so the in-line inverter trick wouldn't work. It would have worked with an older video standard like EGA, but not VGA. Maybe there are two versions of the PE+ board? In which case I'd expect only the older (digital) interface to need inverting. Regular normal way up VGA should work with the board I'm looking at.
