Title: Can you add a battey to backup high scores on a multicade?
Post by: Fourbyracer on July 17, 2012, 03:03:06 AM
With battery backups for coins in on slots and high scores and settings on pinball, does anyone know if the same can be done to backup the memory in a XX in 1 multicade?  Seems like it should be able to be done--maybe??   :103-

LOL.  I forgot I had one of those books in the bottom of the machine and what do you know, the answer is on page 1, section 1!   :279-
The dip switch was set to the correct positon though.  For some reason its not holding the scores though.  Any ideas?

I have tried cycling the correct dip switch several times (#3), but still there is no memory.  The pinball and slot boards seem to have batteries or a capacitor to hold the memory.  I dont see anything that looks like this on this board.  This is bascially a new system (but I bought it as is and didnt set it up).  It is very clean and appears just about straight out of the box.  Maybe I am missing something?  It sure would be cool to keep the high scores on the games that have them (like galaga and 1942).   :103-
