Title: Creating your own denomination and award stickers
Post by: deuce23 on July 21, 2012, 11:02:10 PM
I recently bought an S2000 and GameKing and wanted to replace the $1 sticker since the machine was setup for quarters.  I decided to try and make my own and the results were pretty good so I thought I would share.

I searched through fonts and found a couple that were pretty close but there were still small differences so I modified one to be a little closer and created a Slot font.  Here's an example of the font and I've attached the ttf file for anyone that wants to use it.  It only has 0 - 9, comma, dollar sign and the cent symbol.  To install copy the Slots.ttf and paste into the windows font directory. To get the cent symbol, use the keystroke Alt+0162.  I think it's works better using a graphics program to change the outline thickness, size, aspect ratio and general formatting.

The way I made the stickers was to print my reversed design on a transparency.  I used an HP transparency for inkjet printers that produces a nice clean image.  Then I spray painted the printed side with a gloss white paint doing a couple of light even coats.  Cut out your new sticker and you're done.  I spray a real light coat of 3M spay adhesive and let it dry and then it sticks to the glass but is still easy to take off if needed.

Hope this is useful.

The font is actually called "Hollywood" and if you look it up it's pretty close

A light laminate works well we've found. But good job on the 3M product. If you want any $1 inserts/decals/stickers we have a bunch....I'm sure we can work out something.
