Title: Game type mismatch error

Ok
This is a double diamond 5 liner s2000 that I've been restoring I replaced the cpu got past some of the errors I was getting now I'm getting a game mismatch error.
ran the clear chip no change. I don't know what cause that error. Need help. Thanks Rick

After a clear you have to go into the keychip menu and se t the game type. Defaults to unknown after a clear and you need to select between upright or slant top

That is not correct. Cowboy is referring to "machine type unknown" You have a game type mismatch because the stepper game chips you have on the board do not match with the SB chip. You need to get the correct Stepper game chips that go with whatever SB or "base" chip you have in your machine. What are the base and stepper game chips that are on the board. That would be the first thing to know.

I must have been wrong because it's working now.
It was a machine type mismatch. Sorry about that.

You're absolutely right Tommy and you had the right answer for that situation, but for the way his question was written I saw it as a machine type mismatch problem. No big deal, it's running now

Yes it's up an running with issues . Need to get the bill valadator working and line up the reel strips
