I just acquired a 1999 Game King Multi Game with a 13 in monitor. Got the monitor issue resolved so I am modifying this post.

Any leads for a used IGT slip in ticket printer would be appreciated? Would need the mounting plate and power connector attached. My machine has the base plate and outlet unit installed.  What model ticket print did they IGT use in these machines.  There is a ticket path in the coin tray is there a specific connector between the printer and the door?

Lets try this again.  I am new to the Game King and I would like to put in a Ticket Printer "see tray picture". All I want is ticket out with winnings printed on ticket.  What model printer did they use on the early Game Kings I think the main board ends in #3802.  Model 96406600.  See picture where ticket travels out. 

Any lead to where I can get a ready to drop in unit?  Will a Ithaca 850 work? 

What would have connected to the ribbon connectors on the power distribution box shown in the back?

if you find a drop in ready let me know. I've never seen a printer on a 13" gk before. Actually the printer would plug into the netplex on the mother board. you should be able to hook up a printer very easy. the mounting is where to work will come in. That picture of the ticket slot is an eye opener never noticed that before.

The IGT machines can accept Futurelogic Gen 1 or Gen 2, as well as Ithaca 750, 850, and 950 printers; so long as they are NetPlex.  Email me for quantities and price if needed.

Two months for an answer? This was posted 8/5/12 so I already did my own research and got a Ithaca 850 a few weeks ago.  Could use pin out info and an adapter, I have a 8 pin molex female connector on my motherboard.  Also would like a rail mount if available.

I have never seen a game king with a printer mounted anywhere but in the top box also on some software before 2000 they dont even have a printer option so I would check to make shure your software suports a printer you should be able to plug it directly into the back plane and make your own mounting bracket with a block of wood or something

My software will definitely support a printer its the pinouts an connectors that will be a problem. 
I found a short connector that would work but need to find a source.  See attached.

the Futurelogic Gen 1 is whats in my Game King 17"..

part number is a GSA-66-001N (netplex version) if i remember correctly.
wiring diagrams are available via Google....

plugs directly into the netplex board in my GK in the top box.

Well I am finally ready to try my Ithica 850 printer install and would like someone to review what I am about to do.  My older model did have a printer option it was a obsolete STAR Micronics model that used a ribbon and made a duplicate copy for audits.  The customer ticket would go through the slot shown above.  In one old manual the tray is referred to as a coin/ticket tray.  The printer replaced the hopper in some jurisdictions and plugged into the same plug as the hopper.  I have attached pin-out diagrams of the 850 and plug J13 on the motherboard I have.  Usually the 850 is found in S units plugged into a Netplex board on a side mounted distribution board that has a few Netplex ports (there are pictures and documentation on a early post on this board)  My unit does not have those ports.  the 20 pin J13 plug is labeled Hopper/Printer on the schematic I have included.  I have written in the pin #'s I plan on connecting to the printer on the right side of the 10 pins from the Ithaca document. if you see any glaring mistakes let me know. 

Questions:  Pin 9 Net + VDC does not have a value so I don't know if it should be used?  Can I use any of the ground pins or is there a difference in a AGND,  BGND, and NETGND?  The pin numbers on J13 are random so I am assuming they pin-out from left to right top to bottom in numeric order?  Anyone have a pin out for the black hopper connector?

Pin-out attached.  I plan to wire it up after hearing from the group.   The three red wires usually on a separate plug are for the front mounted printer bezel light port which I will not be using so disregard pin 8, 9, and 10 on the Ithaca pin-out. The printers original Netplex connector is a 8 pin Molex.

Let me give you some background on how a printer and hopper are connected.
The MPU controls the hopper by the Cabinet I/O, cabinet and Door I/O are SENET
All printers used by the i960 (S2000, Game King, I Game) platform are a Netplex device as is the Bill Acceptor
If you look at  the motherboard it will have 4 netplex ports and 3 SENET ports
The netplex ports are grouped around the Power supply connector on the motherboard
the SENET are are on the other end up against the sheet metal shield around the MPU
S2000 and Game King use same mother board but different MPU's

One is labeled Bill Validator and is unique because the connector is 12 pins (2 extra for the BV door Switch)
Another will be labeled printer may or may not have anything in it
If it is empty that is where you would connect the printer
and then there are 2 more netplex ports, in a S2000 one is for the VFD on the door and the other feeds the 9 pin square connector at left rear of the top box to provide netplex to the top box via a power distribution board if installed.
Note: The netplex ports do not care which one is used for what device except the BV(due to the BV one will not fit into the 10 pin netplex ports)
In fact you might notice 2 wires going to each pin on some netplex connectors plugged into the motherboard.

Another small detail your printer should have included a harness terminates in 8 pin connector per IGT specifications.
See if you have a 8 pin male connector tied off in your main cabinet harness. might depend when it was made, and not sure if IGT intended on the Game King  being TITO from the factory

Thanks for the reply Foster.  As I stated in my message above my Game King does not appear to have extra Netplex plugs like the S models and I models do. There is 1 free Netplex but it would require a connector and wire.  The plus of using the Hopper/Printer connector is that its already wired to the motherboard at J13 and the wiring harness goes right to the bottom of the machine near the ticket out cutout.  Did you get a chance to look at the I/O jpeg I attached in my last message?  J13  has Net TX and Net RX along with all power out required  If I have the network and power connections right then it should work?  I just want to make sure I did not miss anything that could fry machine or printer.  This machine was designed for either hopper or a old school serial ticket printer.   

Originally there was a ticket out only option!!!
