Can anyone tell me the distinct differences between an I game and a I Game +? Also if you have pictures of the two different types that would be great

Thanx,
Rich

The main cosmetic different is there's 2 tiers of player buttons on game king + (one row for lines and one row for bets per line) and only 1 on Game king, other than that I'm sure + has an extra graphics and sound card but don't know for sure.

iGame uses a 3308 board which uses eproms only.

Igame Plus uses a 3902 game board that uses simms for the pixel and graphics, Eproms for the Game and base chips and depending which multimedia lite board is required for a specific game simms or eproms for the sound,

The muti-media lite 1  board uses eproms for the sound and the multi-media lite2 uses a simm for the sound.

There is also a second set of player buttons on the door as mentioned in the above post.

Hope this helps,
Eric

Are the terms "Game King" and "I Game" synonymous?  I've been confused by this since I started looking at IGT video slots......

Gameking refers to a multi game software set up, I is a single slot theme, usually today the games are GK+ and I+ the outside difference is a single row of bet buttons on a GK+ vs 2 rows on an I+, this is for betting per line and coins per line, there are different cabinets and monitor sizes and board configurations if you are looking at a specific machine or looking for a particular theme let us know and we could identify, the themed slots are I+,  I stands for interactive and lets you choose things in the bonus rounds, Gamekings are more usually poker type games with others including sometimes slot themes but more generic ones

How does the 960 fit into this?  (e.g., I 960)

Thanks for clearing that up BlueRidge.  I had a feeling that was the case since the GK cabinets look like multi-game machines I've used at casinos.

960 refers to the processor on the mpu board.  both the S2000 and GK platforms used an Intel 80960 processor.

So with the ID help, I have an upright I  Plus since there are two rows of buttons. It previously was a game king, but I am thinking about a conversion to a video slot. Were there video slot multigames ( inotherwords- no poker, etc) or were they are single theme games.

IF the cabinet has had the motherboard, game board, etc removed- where can I start to read what boards I would need, chips etc. or are there conversion kits out there? I also will swap the CRT for a 17" LCD while I am rebuilding.

I am looking forward to the project, but I am new the terminology and the knowledge of which board (platform) to use, an preferably for any easier future conversions.

Thanks all for you help in advance for this newbie enthusiast.
