I am working on a Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy and i get a error message on the door.  Were it says winners payout is a 83  and on the credits side its 0000000.  I have tried clear chips on the u43 and u28 it will clear it but when i put the game chips back in i get that same error number.  Can anyone help me?   :103-

First Check the battery volts. And post the result.

it sounds like your Saferam chips are bad. change them for new ones.
if your Saferam Clear chips are too old for your mains, then you will also get a 83 with an f-0 in the credit window...  Have you used them successfully before with the same mains?

never messed with the safe ram chips just the u28 and the u 43 chips. were are these saferam chips located and were do you get them?

can you answer the above?  The reason I ask this is the saferam chips didn't store the information corrrectly.  The job of the saferam clear chips is to format the saferam chips with the correct information.

another question is: how many times per second does the candle flash when you have this error code?

The saferam chips are located at U30 and U45.  They are next to the personality chips.

I just found out that the person who used to own the machine may have put the either the u28 chip or u48 chip in backwards :279- i will try to to order those u30 & U45 chips!!
