Title: S2000 Candle Bulb (Change Light)
Post by: Cgar on August 19, 2012, 01:56:36 PM
All,

So my S2000 (my first) has arrived, and everything is great except the light in the white part of the candle won't come on. Change button lights/goes off when pressed, bottom yellow light acts as expected when door is open, yet no white light up top. Checked the molex connectors, fully seated, and the output tests for candle only light up the yellow bottom part of the candle. I'm guessing all this means the bulb is blown, so...

I see that it either need a 161 or 194 bulb...which one for the top (or does it matter)

And are these the same as replacement dash lights you can get at autozone or the like?

Much thanks, and pictures of the new machine to come (Crystal 5s)

Some bulbs in the machine look just like automotive bulbs and the automotive bulbs will fit. BUT! do not use them. They are in some cases too bright and get too hot and will melt buttons and possibly cause fires..Always use the proper bulb to be safe and not cause fires...
You are new and don't want you to find out the hard way....

Foster It's a toss up, anymore you find a lot of candles that use 3 1/4 wedge bulbs.

Thanks, any ideas where to get the slot machine specific bulbs if autozone is no good?
