If a monitor says "no signal" when power is applied, it's the monitor's way of telling you that it's not getting a signal from the computer it is connected to.  You'll need to figure out why the computer that is connected to the monitor isn't working -- it could be for a dozen different reasons.

Anybody out there ever had this problem and know how to resolve? The main computer is powering up from what I can tell, but it just shows the "no signal" message.

Thanks,

David

Do you actually see or hear the computer running?...Check that the fan is in fact turning on inside the computer?...If not, check the bios battery...IF it is dead, you will need to replace and reprogram the bios setting for the computer to turn back on after power failure...Hope this helps...

is that bios battery a 2032 @ the size of a dime? I will pull the power supply out and check the fan.

Thanks,

David

So if that battery is too weak, will that cause the "so signal" message?

If the battery goes bad, the bios setting in the computer will go to "default" which means when you turn on the machine with the standard power switch (which turn everything on)  the computer will not turn on therefor giving you the "no signal" on the monitor...The bios must be set for the computer to restart after turning of the game power...

Even though I see lights on the front of the computer and I hear it running? I don't know if this matters or not but when it is on, the cd rom door will not open when I push the button on it.

Now it is starting to sound like the power supply inside the computer...Get a keyboard and hook it up and watch the screen as it is trying to boot-up...Try to access the bios and see if everything is set correctly...You can also remove the computer and hook it up as a home computer and see if it boot up to anything...Can you hear the CD turning?...My guess it is the power supply or bios settings...
