Title: Games of Nevada Flip It Game
Post by: hedgee on February 17, 2009, 12:21:57 PM
I recently purchased a Games of Nevada Flip it game MFG 1981.  Game is in great condition.  I would love to know anything and everything about this game.  Does anyone have any information? Parts Etc.  I heard that these games are rare and they were not generally sold but leased to casinos.  ????

If that's the game I'm thinking of, COOL!  Please post some pictures!!  There are still a couple of them in operation at Slots-A-Fun in Las Vegas, but that's the only place I've seen them.

I know Games of Nevada and can probably get anything you want for this game. There are not many out in the wild any more but I know where there are about 100 in storage.

Op-Bell knows where the secret stash of machines is hiding. :8-
It's like an Easter egg hunt to find them.  :118- :109- :145- :143-

MGM Grand used to have a bunch of these all over the Casino... ( last time I was there was about 7 years ago) and saw them then.  Good Luck with it!

There's no big secret about it. Mickey Wichinsky bought them all back a couple of years ago. It's his baby and he's kinda sentimental about it. He wanted to put them out on location again but it hasn't happened yet and maybe it never will, so if anyone would like to buy one, I'll see if it can be arranged. They sure are a lot of fun to play. Hedgee, do you mind telling me what you paid for it? PM if you prefer.

I'd be interested too unless it's a private thing.  :89-

I remember seeing these all over casinos back in the day. I've never seen one that wasn't full of quarters, though. Thanks for the pictures hedgee. :71-

I'm not in a position to buy one now, but it would be cool to have one of these, as I'm sure that they would be more fun to play at home than a casino. As I recall, they were real vampires out in the field and ended up like the big six wheel: eventually no one would play them.

I always thought these were fun. I am not sure if I could afford to fill it.....It just would not be the same running it on tokens.

OP Bell did put out the offer saying he could supply any thing we needed for this unit..... hmmm 2000 quarters please.......  :72-

I have seen some of these at the local arcades running off tokens that are good for the other arcade machines. Talk about a house edge....

I can't imagine it takes more than $100 in quarters to fill the thing (plus some for the hopper).  I'd love to have one of those, too.

Keith, Welcome to  :nlg-

We have a few members here with Games of Nevada machines.
Op-bell has been a great source of information on these machines. I hope you'll stick around to add your knowledge to the forum.  :3-

I currently have three reel slots and would love a flip-it.
My Bingo plays the top card and
Dollar Special Stampede takes silver dollars in the escalator or gold presidential coins via the coin acceptor.
