Title: Bally 6000 Mystery Chips Post by: jdkmunch on February 17, 2009, 12:24:12 PM I got these chips with the "Diamonds & Devils" kit I won on eBay. Does anyone know what they are for?
I don't know why there are 4 chips labeled U28 and U43 - Then there's the little one at the bottom. :103- If there were only two U28 and U43 chips I would say that they are the Mains. Title: Re: Bally 6000 Mystery Chips Post by: tacman on February 17, 2009, 02:07:08 PM I believe the eprom starting with the PS is a sound chip, all the gamemaker deluxe sound eproms start with PS. Of course the number after would denote which game it is for. Don't know about the rest, Sorry.
Dan (tacman) After looking again with the S6M1 & S6M4 designations, if they follow like the Gamemaker platform, those are probably different MAINS for the 6000 platform that would go in the M0 & M1 slots on the MPU. Seeing that the dates on each set is 2004 and 2005, one might just be the newer MAINS. Still have no clue about the last smaller chip. I don't have the 6000 yet. I'm going to meet another NLG to pick it up at the end of next month.

The U28 and U43 are the mains in an S6000, I usually refer to them by year "2004 mains". I have about 7 or more different sets of mains, with the newest being 2006. I'll list them another time.I don't know why there are 4 chips labeled U28 and U43 - Then there's the little one at the bottom. :103- If there were only two U28 and U43 chips I would say that they are the Mains.
