Title: Bally 6000 - code 54
Post by: FORDSBS on August 31, 2012, 01:25:17 PM
Ran into a new one. Putting a 6000 together. Set up OK. Code 54 comes up -drop door open.
I could not get rid of it - Put in another mpu with same chips & no more code.
I put chips back in 1st board & same code 54.
Put other board in & all works OK.
It has to be in board I got. Used same chips so it's not them.
Any advice ?
Thanks Ford

Are all of the dip switches set the same. Not near a manual right now but I thought there was a dip switch for drop door optics.

Thanks guys. I'm sure it's in the board. Over weekend I'll have to go over everything again .

Double check the board didn't have a bent pin, or a broken off pin.. they are hard to see sometimes
