Title: NEW TO THE SLOT WORLD
Post by: solarcar on September 11, 2012, 05:27:35 PM
Hello all, I have just recently won a 1992 IGT S+ Di (model no. GA33C) blackjack slant top machine at a local auction here in florida. I believe I got it for the reasonable price of 125 dollars. I know absolutely NOTHING about slot machines, in fact I have never used one...ever. however i thought it would look pretty cool in my house. everything works the wheels inside spin, all the lights light up, and it loves to take my money, I do have the key to open the top as well as the bottom however there is a key I am missing, and it goes to the numbers at the far left side of the machine just below the arm rest, and I am also running a number 3300 code. I have found myself here in hopes that you all can tell me exactly what I am working with, and help me in the future as well. I will post pictures in another thread.

thank you,

Solarcar

The "error 3300" means the hopper is empty or has not spit out a coin within 8 sec.  Fill the hopper with coins and close the door, power up and you should be good to go...If not, post some photo's of your machine and what key slot you are talking about and what keys you have...

the inside and front bottom view.

the only key I do not have is for the lock on the top left. right beside the numbers. what is it used for and what do the numbers represent?

That is the reset key...Usually 2341...For the time being you can just short together the two wires on the back side of the key switch to try and get yourself up and running...I and do have extra keys and a CD with a lot of stuff about IGT S+ machines if interested...

Also looks like you need to install a sample coin in the coin comparitor...It should look like this and be of the denomination of the game...

Looks like your missing the bar pad also...I just got rid of a couple of them, but some one else might have one or you can make one...However not important for the machine to work...

I also found this nifty little gadget sitting behind/underneath the hopper when I opened the top.....any idea to where it might go.

on the bottom picture is a plug that is sitting clear in the back obviously unplugged the color of the wires include one red and one black, where does that one plug into? I apologize for all the questions, I guess we all have to start learning somewhere

I do have the bar pad. its in really great shape. a few screws were missing so I decided to take it off before it broke. I have some new screws already just need to reinstall the bar pad. and I had the machine running. when I had bought the machine error code 61 was on the board and was not accepting any spins, I looked the code up online, actually this site and was able to use the reset key, and got it working. but before I went any further, I wanted to learn more about what I was working with. and thats how I ended up registering with NLG. I also noticed that the board showing the denomination earnings on it has a hinge at the bottom Im assuming it flips down? if so how do I go about opening it. and whats behind there?

Where it say "slide to replace coin", just slide that piece over to the right and insert a quarter (does not matter which way) and then slide back...It should seat itself into a little slot on the left side and rest like in the photo...As far as the wire below, it is probably that was added by the casino's and is not needed...Do not hook it up to anything!...Add quarters and you should be good to go from what I can tell...

3200
Coin out time out.
Check for paper or something blocking the optics just below the compairator.
Might have to remove it to get a good look at the optics.

3200 = Coin jam in hopper

Check the hopper.

Are these 2 problems happening simultaneously??? If the machine is showing a 3200 error in the display, it will not accept coins. In the machine's mind, it's "temporarily down" (due to the 3200 error), so it cannot accept coins for a new game until the error is cleared.

Work on the 3200 error only at this point, and THEN see if it will accept coins. If it was accepting coins prior to the error, it should resume accepting them after the error is gone.

no the 3200 code has disappeared by itself and then it ran one time accepting the coins, and now this issue is happening with just the number 1 flashing in the player paid box.
