Title: Slot Stand Height
Post by: slot one on September 13, 2012, 11:13:14 PM
Hello everyone. I am building a slot stand for a few machines. What is the preferred height for a slot machine. What do casino's have and what are your personal tastes? All replies are weclome and suggestions would be great. I plan on building it 18 inches deep and 12 feet long to hold 5 machines, Just not sure how high? The machines in question if it matters are 3 S2000 and 2 BB1 Thanks slot one

About 15 16 inches. Too high and the old arm get wimpy and some Bally's have a higher button deck then others.

I agree it should be 15-16 inches if using a regular sized chair.

I've seen recommendations for 22" high and built my first stands at that height only to find out they were too tall for a regular chair and too low for a bar stool. You need a real slot chair @ 22".

I just measured my cabinet.  It is an even 22 inches in height.  It is an E.M.T. (Elite Manufacturing Technology) cabinet right out of a casino.  Seems to me the perfect height for sitting or standing.  I use a 24 inch chair. :89-

Mine are 22" and they are just fine. IMO 15-16" would look goofy.

Just to confuse the issue more, I have 16's on one side of the room and 22's on the other!  16's are perfect for regular everyday chairs, and the 22's are perfect for my barstools.  I guess that is the difference right there so go with what you prefer to sit in!  I have 2 WMS Dotmations and a Gameking on the 16's and 3 S2000's and an Atronic on the 22's.  Only other consideration to me would be the height of your ceiling and whether you see very tall machines in your future (like a Barcrest with a topper) or many of the newer machines.  Btw, mine are all ex casino stands so there is no "normal" size I guess.   :133-
