Title: No Sound on my PE+ Post by: jay on September 23, 2012, 07:40:15 PM I have a PE+ and I have about 6 MPU boards.
5 of the 6 work great, but the one has absolutely no sound. I have cranked the volume, there are options in the setup for tone or music, tried both. Even the noise that the coins make going in, isn't being made. I have changed the software set to rule out a corrupted chip set. Since the other boards work fine, I presume its a board problem. Is there a particular chip that does the sound generation ? a fried resistor to look for etc ? Title: Re: No Sound on my PE+ Post by: rilaw on September 12, 2013, 10:04:00 PM To revive an old post that did not get a response.... Anyone else run into this issue? I had sound, lost it....regained it after reflowing solder on the board....lost it again after machine sat for a while unused...????
**EDIT** I put my beer down and thought for a second....Tried a 9v on the speaker, nothing....Duh...dead speaker :25- :25- :25- Replaced speaker, my issue solved....
