Title: Bally Pro Slot - Help
Post by: funtime1 on September 24, 2012, 10:29:09 AM
My slot stopped working about a month ago. It was working then it stopped. The lights come on but nothing else. I keep reading POWER SUPPLY issues are common. Any suggestion on how to test and where to purchase? Many thanks in advance

Blueridgeslots had the power supplies.  you can check for voltages with a meter.  they were a weak link on the earlier machines.

you should fill out your profile so that people will know what area of the world you are in..  you may have a neighbour that has the parts.

thanks,
Wayne

UPDATE: Purchased Power Supply from Rudy's Deals and installed today. I think the power supply is either damaged or incorrect the light on the mpu board is very dim and the hopper is pulsating. If I push the hopper buttom the green and the red work but no displays. Any suggestions? I am about to pull what little hair I have left out.

I would also check the reel harness to the backplane
make sure it's fully seated.. since you change the power supply you might have jarred something loose

Hi Funtime1, can you send me a picture of your MPU? Maybe I can help you to clear the machine without clear chips.
