Title: Good EPROM Burner For The Money Post by: qwerty on September 26, 2012, 01:37:48 PM After building, buying, or modifying EPROM burners for over 30 years, I was wondering what would be a good one to get that doesn't require a dozen adapters to be able to handle current and future PROMs as well as PICs and other devices, and won't be obsolete in 5-10 years.

Xeltek superpro m is what I use, no adapters for most chips unless you get into plcc chips Had a gq-x4 and liked it for the price, but required a few adapters and was slow compared to the xeltec. Really comes down to price you want to spend and demand you are going to put on it. xeltec starts at $500 gq-4x is$125.00 with adapter kit. I'll look into the Xeltek as soon as I get a chance. Thanks again. |
