Title: Bally 1208 TILT error Post by: rainman on September 28, 2012, 09:45:18 PM Need help with a Bally 3 reel 6 quarter model E-1208-18. It had a bad MPU board that I got replaced (thanks Barry Fox for the board and all your help) and I had a bad reel read that I got replaced as well (thank's Gary “Amechanic” for the replacement and your help) .
The machine plays while running test #8 (the Game functional Test). When I go to normal run which for this machine has be “50 000” in the win meter as soon I pull the handle and the reels spin don’t stop and it goes to “TILT” something that never happen before ever when I had issues with the reels not stopping it never when to ”tilt”. To reset it I have to remove the connectors from the reel assembly and power cycle the machine. I clean and realign the reel, check the arm and the kick switch …both where good. From what I reading it sound like it may be an issue with the door switch, which is good when tested with a meter but fails when test #3 is run. If the machine works good while right test #8 I’m assuming that the reel assembly and board is OK? Thank for reading, any help is appreciated Ray Title: Re: Bally 1208 TILT error Post by: tkrozleski on September 28, 2012, 11:56:23 PM What is on the display after the reels fail to stop? The error code on the display?
Title: Re: Bally 1208 TILT error Post by: rainman on September 29, 2012, 02:25:25 PM It's still 50 000, what else I noticed was all the lights on the reel reader turn off as soon as I pull the handle and pulling either reel connector that's mounted on the top back right hand side on the reel assemble and a power cycle will clear the "TILT"
