Title: Re: Upper Chips Post by: knagl on February 20, 2009, 09:13:32 PM To get at them, you loosen (no need to remove, though) the two nuts on the top of the Dotmation enclosure, then CAREFULLY (don't crack the display!) shift the display to the right and then out towards you.
The safest method to change the chips would be to gently remove the two connectors to the display and then set it down in a safe location. You may want to have a second set of hands there the first time you take it apart until you've seen first-hand what's involved.
